How Auburn baseball's resume stacks up to the rest of the country
The Tigers just won their *sixth* SEC series in a row after taking down Mississippi State. And it's a near-perfect time to play your best ball.
AUBURN — Auburn is playing its best baseball at almost the perfect time.
Following another series win, this time on the road against Mississippi State, the Tigers have now strung together six consecutive series wins and are on the brink of locking down a top-eight national seed — if they haven’t done so already.
Auburn, against the toughest schedule in the country, has pieced together 13 Quad 1 wins. If everything went perfectly over the next six days, that number could end up jumping as high as 19 by the end of the weekend.
Additionally, the Tigers rank No. 3 in the all-important RPI rankings and No. 5 in the ELO rankings.
