Eric Kiesau knew it was going to be the first question he got after Auburn’s second scrimmage Friday.

Do you feel like you have enough information now to make a decision on the starting quarterback?

“I know that’s kind of the popular topic, obviously, and everybody wants to know,” Kiesau began. “But quite honestly, I have to go back — I haven’t even watched the film yet — and got to go back and study it and make sure we make the best decision. It’s going to be a hard one. I can tell you that right now.

“They’ve all kinda played really well, and we’ve gotta see who’s going to step out in front a little bit after tonight.”

Later on, Kiesau was asked about how the three quarterbacks competing for the starting job did specifically.

And, like his boss Bryan Harsin said after the first fall scrimmage last Saturday night, Kiesau made his first and most favorable-sounding remarks about T.J. Finley.
