For Auburn's red-hot recruiting, that first weekend wasn't a fluke
The Tigers picked up blue-chip commitments over Texas, Georgia and Virginia Tech this week — and there should be more coming soon.
It was always going to be difficult to match the excitement of Auburn’s first official visit weekend under Alex Golesh: 16 official visitors, seven of which committed and five of them having now gone public.
This past weekend didn’t have the same volume of visitors, and there were no multi-eagle emoji “War Damn Eagle“ tweets from Alex Golesh.
But it was far from a letdown. In fact, it more of an acceleration of an absolute heater this staff has been on since the end of April.
The Tigers landed one of their top remaining offensive line targets, stole one of the best defensive backs in the country from Georgia and picked up a blue-chip edge rusher.
And there could be more fireworks to come next week.
Here’s more on all three of the Tigers’ newest commitments for a 2027 class now ranked No. 8 nationally in the 247Sports Composite — and what’s coming up next.
The Tigers outduel Texas for another blue-chip OL
One of the most important visitors this past weekend was 4-star offensive lineman Reed Ramsier. The blue-chip prospect out of Orlando, Fla. was one of the very first players to be offered by this new staff.
Why? Because the relationship had long been there.
