The Tigers looked sharper on both sides of the ball Wednesday — and there will be a clear focus for the final two practices of fall camp.

AUBURN — It’s about to be game week at Auburn.

Kinda.

When the Tigers returned to Jordan-Hare Stadium on Wednesday morning for their second scrimmage of fall camp — this one coming less than a week after their first — they did so knowing that the inward focus of practices is coming to an end.

Auburn will go through a full mock game week after Saturday, even though it’ll be two weeks from the start of the season against Baylor in Atlanta. The Tigers will use that extra time to prepare for their matchup with the Bears and get into in-season mode.

With that in mind, Alex Golesh wanted to see where his team needed to focus for those final couple of practices of camp later this week.

He got his answers Wednesday morning in what was deemed as an improved scrimmage for both sides of the ball, but one in which Auburn’s needs came into clearer focus.

“We've got two more days of working on us before we turn the page,” Golesh said.
