Ferg was kind enough to trust me with what is often his most-read newsletter of the week. Since I was a boy, I’ve said that your greatest strength is your biggest liability.

Meanwhile, Auburn is in the midst of what seems like a perfectly timed open week. Perhaps the Tigers will be close to full strength heading into the Ole Miss game, ideally with Owen Pappoe back in its lineup. The extra week allows Harsin and his team to focus inward, improve their run game and prepare for one of college football’s best play callers in Lane Kiffin.
