Justin and Dan break down what they saw from a down-and-up Auburn football homecoming win over New Mexico in Week 3.
The guys open with a look at Hugh Freeze’s decision to go with Hank Brown over Payton Thorne and how they felt the redshirt freshman played in his first career start. They discuss why the Tigers had such a hard time running the ball early against the Lobos and how they were able to fight through it after halftime. Justin cautions everyone on going overboard about this offensive performance. Dan gives his thoughts on the o-line shuffle.
In the second half of the show, the guys look at what was a rough overall night from an Auburn defense that had too many penalties and mental mistakes. They talk about the continued issues in a thin secondary, a surprising showing from the run defense and the players who still found ways to stand out with their performances. Justin wonders about the future at punt returner.
The episode concludes with a SEC-centric look at what else went on in college football during Week 3, including some truly surprising results and a couple of hot seats in the Sunshine State.
