Bow & Arrow does have excellent brisket. I was never a fan of it even living in Texas for 7 years, but theirs is some of the best I’ve had and I at least tried it at every famous place we went in Texas. Auburn is really lacking on the good traditional southern BBQ scene, to me.

Guthrie’s is the OG chicken and the reason I went from 127 when I graduated high school to 167 or so graduating college. Back in the day when a box with no drink was $5.25. I wrote it in and it’s not as well known yet, but the absolute best chicken fingers in town to me right now is Waldo’s.

And a shout out to Baumhower’s for having Shiner Bock on draft. I am a guaranteed frequent customer as long as that’s the case.

- I think Butcher Paper does Southern BBQ quite well

- Waldo’s is the new king with Tenda closed

I should have clarified! The best local BBQ is in Opelika. Auburn itself is lacking. I agree on Butcher Paper. That’s where we go if we want BBQ. I still need to try Chuck’s.

Chuck’s is the best cheap BBQ you can find around here, it does well with what it’s trying to be
