Like its brethren in the football program, Auburn basketball is becoming impossible to predict — especially this season.

Auburn faced the SEC’s worst defense Tuesday night and shot 21.9% from the field in the first half. Its own defense, which had been struggling as of late, was making strides but still found itself behind on the scoreboard.

But Auburn adjusted during the break and took it to Vanderbilt after halftime, dropping a 50-point half on the Commodores en route to a streak-snapping 73-67 road win in Memorial Gymnasium.

“Feels great to get a win on the road in the league,” head coach Bruce Pearl said. “We had to fight through some adversity. I think some of it was a little self-inflicted.”

Here are five key Observations from Auburn’s win at Vanderbilt, along with the Rotation Chart, Nerd Stats and a nice Quote of the Night from one of the Tigers’ top stars of the game.
