With Week 1 quickly approaching, Auburn's QB situation is getting even more interesting
Bryan Harsin said Wednesday that if Auburn "played a game right now," Bo Nix would start. But it sounds like the door is still open for T.J. Finley.

Ten days before Auburn’s season opener against Akron, Bryan Harsin had some words about his quarterbacks that raised more than a few eyebrows.
Harsin made it clear that Bo Nix, who has started the last two seasons for the Tigers, is taking the No. 1 reps in practices. But the first words out of his mouth were that Nix and newcomer T.J. Finley were the “two guys at the top.”
The first-year head coach took it a step further later in his answer.
“If we played a game right now, Bo would be starting,” Harsin said Wednesday.
That’s a conditional statement, and it’s a rather interesting one. Of course, Auburn wasn’t going to play a game on Wednesday afternoon. The Tigers are still more than a week away from taking the field in a competitive game.
It’s easy to overanalyze a coach’s words, and Harsin said more than 4,500 of them during his Wednesday press conference.
But it’s definitely worth noting that he didn’t say Nix would definitely be the starting quarterback.…
