(Todd Van Emst/Auburn Athletics)

I am once again opening an Aubserver Mailbag by talking about how much news has happened since the last time I wrote one of these.

I’m starting to sound like a broken record, I know. But Auburn football has seen a handful of players decide to come back for another season, dismissed a No. 1 wide receiver, lost a defensive line coach, had a top candidate for that vacancy emerge and picked up a transfer quarterback from a division rival all within the last few days.

Meanwhile, Auburn basketball is casually winning SEC games by double-digits and looking more and more like a championship contender.

Needless to say, there’s a lot to get to in this week’s Mailbag. We start with Zach Calzada, then take a look at a number of football topics before switching over to Bruce Pearl’s basketball team and a few random questions at the end.

Thank you for supporting The Auburn Observer, especially during weeks like these. Let’s go.
