Observations: LSU 104, Auburn 80

For the first time this season, Auburn didn't look like it had "that edge." That's a recipe for a high-scoring blowout against this LSU team.

Bruce Pearl thought his Auburn team prepared well for LSU. He thought his team would be eager to play a talented SEC rival away from home, especially after a longer-than-expected layoff due to the postponement of the Mississippi State game.

Instead, he left the floor Saturday with a list of disappointments to discuss after an ugly 104-80 loss.

“I’m disappointed in our team, I’m disappointed in our play, I’m disappointed in our execution, I’m disappointed in our preparation, I’m disappointed in how we competed, I’m disappointed that guys weren’t excited about their matchup,” Pearl said. “Who wants Cam Thomas? Like, who wants him? Who wants Trendon (Watford)? Who wants Javonte (Smart)?

“And there just isn’t any of that, and that’s a problem. So, as a result, we got whooped.”

Here are five Observations from the Tigers’ latest loss, along with the Rotation Chart, Nerd Stats and Pearl’s message to his team in the Quote of the Day.
