Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from The Auburn Observer
We'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming soon. Until then, here's a quick word from Observer HQ.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us here at The Auburn Observer.
This is just a little note to send to everybody out there who supports us, from the Day 1 subscribers to the newest additions and everyone in-between. We hope you, your families and your friends are having the best possible holiday season.
We’ve taken the last several days off here at Observer HQ. As some of you may know, I spent the beginning of the week with my wife’s family for a memorial service for her grandmother, and we carried right on into Christmas. Because of that, we haven’t had anything new come out of The Observer since Tuesday.
But we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled programming soon. Auburn basketball will be gearing up for its final non-conference game this weekend, and we’ll be there Saturday for the Steven Pearl preview. You can expect an injury update on Tahaad Pettiford and more from that, which should go out to subscribers during the day.
I still find it a little awkward, though, when people give Observer subscriptions on Christmas Day and they don’t really get anything for a little while. So, if you are one of our newcomers: 1) Welcome to the family, and 2) here are some of our most recent pieces that I think you might enjoy reading or revisiting on this Boxing Day:
Thanks again for helping build The Auburn Observer into what it is now. We’ve added hundreds of new subscribers in the past year and covered every Auburn football and men’s basketball game in person — including that entire run to the Final Four — 100% off of subscriptions. As Dan likes to say: Zero AI, zero gambling company funding.
We’ve got some fun stuff in the works for the rest of 2025 and the start of 2026, including a couple of potential new contributors and special podcast ideas. Maybe the Friends of the Program will even get back together at some point.
Once again, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everybody. Enjoy your Boxing.
