Friend of the program Dan Peck makes his return to the Observer podcast to fill in for Painter and recap Auburn’s 42-16 win over Mercer.
The guys discuss the nights for both T.J. Finley and Robby Ashford, look at the overall performance of the multi-pronged rushing attack and the new-look offensive line and discuss which position group impressed the most despite not putting up deep numbers in the box score.
They switch over to the defensive side of the football, headlined by Cam Riley’s career night and a great display from the defensive front against an overmatched opponent. The episode ends with a look forward at what all Auburn could correct heading into Week 2 and a look around at the major action in Week 1 of the college slate — including some big results involving SEC teams.
